Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This notice explains what personal data Ocean Capital AG processes when you visit this website or contact us, and the rights you have in that regard. Data processing on this site is deliberately minimal: no analytics services, no advertising trackers, no marketing cookies.
Controller
Responsible for the data processing described here:
Ocean Capital AG 9050 Appenzell Switzerland info@oceancapital.ch
Processing is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to individual visitors, the rights described below apply accordingly.
Visiting this website
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you access a page, the hosting infrastructure records technical data in server logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, and browser and operating-system information. This data is needed to deliver the site, to keep it secure and to diagnose faults. It is not merged with other data and is retained only for a short period.
The site requires no account and no registration, and it loads no fonts, scripts or media from third-party networks.
Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form, we process the details you provide: name, firm (optional), email address and your message. The submission is delivered to our mailbox as an email through the delivery service Resend; it is not stored in a database on the website. We use it solely to handle your enquiry.
Spam protection relies on a hidden form field and a submission rate limit on our own server; no third-party captcha or spam-analysis service is involved.
Investor updates
We send periodic investor updates by email to recipients who have asked to receive them. The distribution list holds the recipients' email addresses, is maintained by us and is not shared with third parties. The updates are sent through our Microsoft 365 mail system.
Every update contains an unsubscribe link. You can also write to info@oceancapital.ch; your address is then removed from the list.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies.
Two functional items may be stored on your device: a cookie that remembers your language choice (English or German) after you switch it, and a local-storage entry in your browser that records your confirmation as a qualified or professional investor on the performance page. Both serve only the working of the site; neither is used to identify you or to track you across websites.
Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our correspondence: Vercel Inc. (USA) for hosting and content delivery, Resend (USA) for delivering form submissions by email, and Microsoft 365 for our mailboxes. These providers process personal data on our behalf and are bound by data-processing agreements.
We do not sell personal data. Beyond the providers named here, data is disclosed only where we are legally required to do so.
Data transfers abroad
Some of the providers named above process data in the United States or in other countries without an adequate level of data protection under Swiss law. Where that is the case, the transfer rests on recognised safeguards, in particular the EU standard contractual clauses with the additions required for Swiss law or a provider's certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
Contact correspondence is kept for as long as the handling of the enquiry requires and thereafter only where a legal duty to retain business records applies. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider for a short period. Mailing-list addresses remain stored until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Within the limits of the applicable law you can request information about the personal data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, request deletion, and object to a processing. Where the GDPR applies you can additionally request restriction of processing and data portability, and withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future.
Requests can be addressed to info@oceancapital.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, within the EEA, with your local supervisory authority.
Data security
We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk. In particular, all traffic between your browser and this website is encrypted in transit (TLS).
Changes to this notice
We may revise this notice when the website or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
