Ocean Capital AG is an independent commodity trading advisor (CTA) based in Appenzell, Switzerland. Its founder has traded one asset class since 1989: commodity futures.
That focus produced Ocean TTP, a fully systematic trading program active in 30 commodity markets. Every position is generated, sized and exited by rules, never by forecast or discretion.
For investors, the program opens an asset class most portfolios lack: commodities, with returns driven by physical supply and demand.
Urs has traded commodity futures independently since 1989, following a science degree at the University of Zurich, four years at Credit Suisse and two years on US futures exchanges. He founded Ocean Capital in 2002, designed the Ocean TTP program and leads the firm's research and investment direction to this day.

Mauro holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Zurich and joined Ocean Capital in 2024 from a software engineering background. He builds and maintains the systematic infrastructure behind Ocean TTP, from signal research and back-testing to live execution.

Ocean Capital AG is established in Appenzell as an independent commodity trading advisor. Years of trading experience are condensed into a fully rules-based program: Ocean TTP.
Ocean TTP starts trading live. The program has traded without interruption ever since, through the 2008 financial crisis, the pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East. It is refined continuously, on the same underlying theory.
Mauro Dörig joins as quant and software engineer. Research and back-testing become a continuous process, on infrastructure Ocean Capital builds and runs in-house.
Ocean TTP trades 30 commodity markets for investors in seven share classes and three currencies. The focus has not changed.
